Some time ago I\u2019ve published pictures from an amazing Balinese pool on my Instagram. Since many of you asked me where is it, I\u2019ve decided to describe the place I\u2019ve stayed in Ubud, Bali, a little more.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve spent in Ubud a week, and my plan was to chill, admire the amazingly green nature and explore what Ubud has to offer. That\u2019s why I was looking for a place close to the city center, so that I can go there on foot, but far enough to avoid the crowd and noise.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve decided to give a shot to Beji Ubud Resort (http:\/\/bejiubudresort.com<\/a>). Mostly because of its surroundings. The resort is situated in the middle of the rain forest so you basically feel like living in the jungle. You can see the nature from every place in the resort, which is a huge plus.<\/p>\n

The pools of the resort are its symbols. Especially, the infinite pool with the view of the jungle.<\/p>\n

I won\u2019t lie if I tell you that the pools were the major arguments to book this hotel. There are just beautiful. The hotel prominently features 2 long infinity pools, 2 surface tension pools and 1 private plunge pool at the mansion. In short: you have many options to choose :)<\/p>\n

My favorite was the one with the jungle view. Once I had a bath there in the middle of the tropical rainstorm. The view of the jungle in rain is unforgettable!<\/p>\n

You can choose from private villas in the garden or rooms with a view of the valley. Both good, I guess. I had a room with a valley view and it was pretty amazing.<\/p>\n

My room was clean and simple. The bed was really huge, nothing to complain about.<\/p>\n

I found a nice discount on www.booking.com<\/a> for this room. The only thing was that it was a package for the honeymooners ;) Me and my fianc\u00e9e weren\u2018t any honeymooners, but we still found the idea attractive. Well, blame the price :) In this package we also had a massage and romantic dinner included. Who wouldn\u2019t take it?<\/p>\n

The massage was ok, the dinner not so much. The stuff tried very hard to make it romantic. They arranged the flowers around the table and candles, but the food was unfortunately average.<\/p>\n

Maybe because they tried to make it a Western style instead of Balinese. I had a feeling that they don\u2019t really know what is a Western cuisine. I would really prefer to eat something local ;)<\/p>\n

The same thing was with the breakfasts. There was a buffet every day and for a whole week they served the same food. So many things were fried and stodgy, and it was too much for me at 8am. Especially, for those who try to stay fit \u2013 eating fried pasta and fat sausages for breakfast is a really bad idea. Also the daily menu of the restaurant was not very tempting. Food was ok, but nothing special.<\/p>\n

To sum up:<\/p>\n

  • Surrounded by nature<\/li>\n
  • Beautiful Balinese view<\/li>\n
  • Peaceful area<\/li>\n
  • Friendly staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Cons:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Breakfast<\/li>\n
    • Menu in the restaurant<\/li>\n
    • Staff doesn\u2019t really speak English<\/li>\n
    • Distance from the city center<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      5\/4. Pros won! To be honest, I would recommend it anyway, at least because of the pools :) I was there in Christmas time, and I really wanted to relax and do nothing but swimming and reading, so the place was good for that :)<\/p>\n
